Manufacturing Operative

Location - Southend-on-Sea

Salary - up to £27,500 depending on level of experience

A world leader in aerospace component manufacturing is currently searching for a manufacturing operative to work in their Fabrication department. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an Aerospace or Engineering manufacturing company.

Duties:

Deburr a variety of components by hand and using belt sanders

Countersink and drill a variety of detailed precision sheet metal components using a pillar drill

Punch and form precision sheet metal components using a fly press.

Carry out assembly tasks on minor mechanical assemblies.

Carry out all tasks allocated by the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained and all Health & Safety Policies are adhered to.

Carry out any other tasks within any Manufacturing area which includes Assembly, Machine Shop, and Fabrication

Experience:

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above is preferable

Apprenticeship served or an engineering related qualification is desirable

Must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment. xjnqpsq

Previous experience within an Aerospace or Engineering company is require

The ability to read engineering drawings is preferable

Competency using hand tools (including air tools, rivet guns, pliers)

Must have demonstrable practical skills and riveting knowledge

Hours Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm Friday 8am - 1pm
