Job Title: Car Compound Driver

Location: Portbury Dock, BS20

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (paid weekly)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role:

Gi Group is currently recruiting for Car Compound Drivers to join a busy and well-established automotive logistics site located at Portbury Dock. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a genuine interest in vehicles and enjoy working in a practical, outdoor environment.

As part of the team, you'll be responsible for the safe movement and handling of a wide range of vehicles across the compound and between designated areas. This role is ideal for someone who is confident behind the wheel, has a good eye for detail, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of care and safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Drive and relocate vehicles within the compound and to other on-site locations

- Carry out basic pre and post movement checks to ensure vehicle condition

- Park vehicles accurately and efficiently in line with site procedures

- Work collaboratively with other team members in a fast-paced environment

- Maintain a professional and safety-conscious approach at all times

Candidate Requirements:

- Must hold a full UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points

- Comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, including both manual and automatic transmissions

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

- Good attention to detail and a responsible attitude towards vehicle handling

- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
