Vintage Stripped Pine Chest of Drawers by Kandya
Shepton Mallet, Somerset
£295
Description
A small lightweight set of farmhouse style pine drawers which have been stripped of paint by a previous owner. The back of the drawers has a plaque for the maker "Kandya" who I believe were producing furniture from the 1950s onwards. These drawers are suitable for holding leightweight items such as clothing.
In fair condition for its age, having had some repairs over the years. The top left drawer has a sliver of pine missing off the bottom of the drawer front and inside a couple of small holes have been made from use, but you could overcome this by lining the drawers with paper. There's a few small chips to the pine on other drawer fronts. The top is pretty clean with only minor marks, one strip of the pine is a little green in colour compared to the rest. There's some minor marks here and there. The end panels are a plywood, not pine, so have stripped to a grey colour. The wood is bare leaving upto the new owner whether they wish to leave them this way or apply a wax, oil or varnish.
Dimensions: Height 76.5 x Width 81 x Depth 44 cm.
Top drawer internal height: 10 cm,
Bottom drawer internal height: 15 cm
