A lovely family based in Barnet are seeking an experienced part time housekeeper / nanny to care for their two children, aged 7 and 9 years old, while helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children and be confident managing school routines, after-school activities and homework. They should also be organised, practical and happy to take responsibility for general housekeeping duties. A confident driver is required for the role, particularly for school runs, activities and household errands. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.

Duties include:

collecting the children from school or activities when required
providing reliable after-school care
supporting homework, reading and school-related tasks
preparing healthy snacks and simple meals
planning age-appropriate activities and outings
taking the children to activities and appointments when required
supporting the children’s evening routines
undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
laundry and ironing
making beds and changing bed linen
keeping the children’s bedrooms and living areas tidy and organised
maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
grocery shopping and running occasional household errands
driving the children to school, activities or appointments when required
using the family car responsibly for work-related duties
ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly at all times

Requirements:

Current Paediatric First Aid

Current Enhanced DBS

UK Work Permit

Valid Driver’s License
