Location: Kensington, London

Schedule: 5 days/week, typically 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (start time can be flexible for the right candidate)

A warm, respectful family in Kensington with two children is seeking a professional, long-term Sole Housekeeper. You’ll take complete responsibility for the daily presentation and smooth running of the home. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organised, and has demonstrated longevity in previous private households.

Key Responsibilities:

Full housekeeping: daily cleaning of all rooms (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, bathrooms, kitchens).

Laundry & wardrobe care: including fine fabrics, stain treatment, hand washing, pressing/ironing, seasonal rotation, and organisation.

Bed/bath linen management: regular changing, laundering, and storage.

Household organisation: pantries, cupboards, stock rotation, refuse/recycling.

Light family support: setting the breakfast table, simple family-style meal prep or snacks when needed, laying/clearing the table.

Occasional family assistance: very light ad-hoc support around the children (e.g., tidying play areas, packing school/nursery bags, receiving deliveries) primary focus remains housekeeping.

Errands: groceries, dry cleaning, post office, parcels, as required.

Supplies & vendors: monitor and restock household/cleaning items; liaise with trades/contractors and keep simple household logs/checklists.

Care of finishes & valuables: follow correct methods for high-end surfaces, stone, wood, silver, and appliances.

Qualities & Skills:

Languages: Fluent Turkish and fluent English

Discreet, respectful, trustworthy; absolute confidentiality.

Meticulous attention to detail; consistently high standards.

Strong time management; able to prioritise and work independently.

Proactive, practical, and calm under pressure in a family setting.

Warm, child-friendly manner; team mindset with the principals.

Physically fit for a busy household.

Private household experience (high-end) strongly preferred.

Additional Information:

Sole housekeeper position (no wider staff team in the home day-to-day).

Household has two children; no pets.

Occasional flexibility around hours for family needs or events may be requested.

Long-term role for someone who takes pride in their work and values stability.

Right to work in the UK, recent enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain), and excellent references required.
