Description

Zoostorm 7910-4213 - Pentium D 1.8GHz Dual Core CPU - 4GB RAM - 500GB HD - Windows 10 Home 64-bit

A vintage (late-2000s) midi-tower PC in very good condition for its age. I've maxed-out the RAM, cleaned it inside and out, installed a new CMOS battery, ran diagnostics and installed Windows 10 with all updates on a 500GB drive.

Here are its main specs:
• Pentium D 1.8GHz Dual Core CPU
• Integrated graphics using up to 160MB of system RAM (VGA port)
• 4GB DDR2 RAM
• 500GB HDD
• 2 x DVD/CD-Rewriters
• 9 in 1 memory card/stick reader
• 6 USB 2.0 (2 on front), PS2 mouse+keyboard, gigabit ethernet, 5.1 multichannel audio mini-jacks (speaker/headphone+ mic on front also), parallel and serial ports
• PCIe x16, 1 x PCIe x1 + 2 PCI slots free
• 1 free SATA + 1 free (2 device) IDE ports
• 4 free 3.5" + 1 free 5.25" drive bays
• Windows 10 HOME 64-bit
• 450w ATX PSU

It works perfectly and cosmetically it is very good for such an old machine, with just a few very minor marks. I've left the Windows 7 badge on as it is securely fixed and removing it would probably leave a 'scar'... if you dislike this out-of-date sign you could remove it yourself or else change '7' to '10' with a felt-tip! ;)

Like most Zoostorm machines it is easy to work inside, its manual is freely available online, and it has lots of scope for connecting peripherals as well as internal expansion.

Being old it isn't exactly a speed-demon running Windows 10, you wouldn't want to play games on it unless they are old and/or simple- Solitaire would be OK! ;) You could add a PCI-e card for faster graphics, and reclaim the bit of system RAM which the onboard graphics use.
But it is fine as-is for web-browsing, e-mail, office apps, etc.

It would make a good server with its multiple drive bays and free SATA/PATA ports (and you could add PCI SATA/PATA/SCSI controller cards if required) and/or a 'disc copying' unit, with its TWO DVD-rewriters. ;)

Its comprehensive set of memory card/stick ports would also make it suitable as a machine for transferring data from such old storage formats.

The buyer can pick-up from me in Litherland (North Liverpool) and see it working. I have had all three Covid 19 vaccinations AND I had the virus before they became available- so I should now be as immune to catching/transmitting the virus as anyone is! I will still wear a mask when the customer calls round if they want me to, though. :)

Alternately I will deliver around Merseyside for an extra tenner- I will have to give this to Tony, my long-suffering mate, for providing the transport! (I am epileptic and so cannot drive.) ;)

Otherwise I will courier it within the UK for an extra tenner- though in the unlikely event of it being damaged in transit I would NOT be held liable for this, please note.

Note that this listing is for the PC only, plus a power lead if required. I can also supply a mouse/keyboard/monitor cheaply.

I have a number of other desktops and some laptops up on here at present: if you want more than one unit I will give a discount. :)
