Description
This was a high end workstation in its day and still holds pretty up well performance wise in 2025.
Its fitted with a Xeon E5-2690 cpu, 64gigs of ECC ram, an old firepro graphics card and a 1tb magnetic drive.
There's plenty of space for more drives and cards and it has a beefy power supply to power GPUs etc.
I was using this as my main development machine, fitted with a data centre GPU and a couple of SSDs. It might make someone an inexpensive data lab, or the starting point for a cheap gaming machine.
It has the memory cooling shroud fitted, so the memory could be maxed out further. In theory you could add a 2nd cpu, but you'd have to source the HP expansion board.
It's extraordinarily well built compared to the next generation HP workstation I've just upgraded to.
These things sell for around £160 on e-bay, offering it here first to save myself packaging it up.
It has a fresh install of Ubuntu, but there are stickers on the side for windows licencing. Plenty of scuffs on the case but all in working order.
