Description
We are looking for an experienced, self-employed Same-Day Luton Driver with proven skills in operating Luton curtain-side vans and securing loads using straps whilst accurately distributing the weight across both axles. This role involves urgent deliveries across the UK and Ireland, working with time-critical consignments for a variety of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Same-day collections and deliveries throughout the UK & Ireland
Safe operation of Luton curtain-sider vehicles
Correct and secure strapping of payloads to ensure safe transit
Ensure all paperwork and proof of delivery (POD) is completed accurately
Maintain a professional attitude and excellent customer service
Maintain a clean, well-presented vehicle suitable for courier work
Requirements:
Previous experience driving Luton curtain-sider vans (essential)
Confident in using straps and securing different types of payloads
Over 30 years of age (for insurance purposes)
Full UK driving licence (Category B) with a maximum 3 penalty points
Smartphone with data for navigation & POD apps
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required
Physically fit and able to lift parcels up to 15kg
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Flexible and reliable, with a strong work ethic
