As Digital Finishing Manager, you’ll oversee a team of operators in a fast-paced print production environment, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflows. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge of finishing processes, excellent people management skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time site-based.

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

* Lead, support, and motivate the finishing team to achieve production targets and quality standards.

* Manage staff rotas, holiday, and sickness records via MSS.

* Encourage cross-training and skill development across the department.

* Production & Quality Control

* Monitor workflows to ensure jobs are delivered on time, in full, and to the highest standard.

* Enforce quality checks, waste reduction measures, and operational processes.

* Act as the escalation point for production or quality issues.

* Health, Safety & Compliance

* Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.

* Maintain training records and escalate training needs where necessary.

* Implement safety improvements across the department.

* Operational Excellence

* Drive efficiency across processes to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.

* Oversee scheduling of machine maintenance and servicing.

* Record and report on productivity improvements and workflow enhancements.

* Collaboration & Communication

* Work closely with Planning to support accurate scheduling and progress updates.

* Attend production meetings to represent the finishing department.

* Collaborate with other managers to deliver seamless, end-to-end client service.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience in a digital finishing or print production management role.

* Strong knowledge of finishing processes (cutting, folding, binding, laminating, enclosing).

* Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

* Understanding of workflow optimisation and quality assurance.

* Organised and solutions-focused, with a drive for continuous improvement.

Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds. All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or marital status
