Customer Care Advisor – Join a Customer-Focused, Values-Driven Team

Location: Southend (Hybrid option available after probation)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 (DOE) + Monthly Bonus

The Role

As a Customer Care Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers — providing support, answering queries, and ensuring each interaction is handled with care and professionalism. You'll be supported with full training and development opportunities, and work as part of a positive, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound customer enquiries via phone, email, and digital channels

*

Accurately log all interactions and outcomes within the internal system

*

Resolve a wide range of policy, service, and account-related queries

*

Manage and respond to complaints, both verbal and written, in line with internal procedures

*

Participate in ongoing training and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

*

Share customer feedback and suggest improvements to enhance the service experience

*

Maintain a clear understanding of products, policies, and regulatory standards

*

Deliver a consistent, fair, and respectful service to all customers

About You

*

Previous experience in a customer service, contact centre, or similar role

*

Comfortable dealing with a wide range of enquiries and complaints

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*

A calm, empathetic, and solution-focused approach to customer needs

*

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all written and recorded work

*

Competent using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and web-based platforms

*

Live Chat experience is desirable but not essential

Working Hours

*

37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern

*

Weekdays: Shifts between 8:30am – 8:00pm

*

Weekends: One Saturday and one Sunday per month

*

Rotas issued 6 weeks in advance
