Contact Centre Assistant

Location: Newport (NP10) – Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days from home – currently Thursday & Friday in-office, subject to change)

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Contract: 12 months (365 days) – potential for extension

Start Date: Subject to clearance (SC clearance required)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm (flexibility required)

We’re looking for a customer-focused Contact Centre Assistant to join our clients team in Newport. You’ll be part of a busy, supportive environment, handling calls, live chat, and emails while delivering exceptional service to their clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

Handle incoming/outgoing calls and live chat within agreed service levels.

Respond to emails and internal service requests promptly and accurately.

Use internal systems to resolve or escalate queries as needed.

Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring every interaction is professional and helpful.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to positive change.

Support your team during peak times to ensure targets are met.

Manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.

Maintain accurate records for audit purposes.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
