Description
This is an exceptional solid silver half pint mug from 1935, made by Charles Edwards in London during the George V era.
Crafted by Charles Edwards this mug is a stunning example of George V style silverware.
Hallmarks are clearly struck with the added bonus of a George V Jubilee mark.
The body is of a baluster shape with a C scroll handle and sits on a stepped circular form foot. It has been engraving J.H.W. 9.3.36 presumably for a christening gift.
This heavy silver half pint mug stands 10cm high with a base of 7.7 cm and a top rim diameter of 7.4cm with a weight of 254gms.
This will add a great addition to a collector of George V silverware. The condition of this silver mug is commensurate with its 90-year-old history.
