Heating Engineer Domestic Households (High End) Installation & Servicing London 70,000 – 120,000 per annum Paid Weekly.
Due to increased workload, we are actively seeking Heating Engineers to join our domestic maintenance operations. As a Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer, you will be attending privately owned domestic households in and around the London area, carrying out servicing, breakdowns and installations of domestic heating and plumbing systems.
This is an on–going self employed contract, paid 50% of the value of all jobs completed. All wages are paid to you on a weekly basis, 1 week in hand. Earnings range from 60 to 130 per hour on–site dependant on time of day. Average weekly earnings between 1,500 – 3,000 per week dependant on hours completed.
Job Summary:
Job Title: Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer Status: On–going sub–contractor – full time. Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00am – 5:00pm (site based). Overtime: Paid premium rates, minimum of 1 evening per week, optional for further. Minimum of 1 weekend per month, optional for further. Earnings: 50% of labour per job, minimum of 60 per hour paid to you, rising to 130 per hour for out of hours works. Additional earnings of 15% markup on materials used per job. Provided: Company Van, fuel card, uniform, company phone, congestion charge, company van insurance. Overhead: Parking & Fuel costs – these are self funded as a self employed contractor. Estimated costs circa 80–150 per week. Works / Duties:
As a Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer, your workload will consist of the following;
Servicing, breakdowns, installations and replacements of boilers, heating systems, gas fired systems and plumbing systems within domestic environments. Working on a range of boiler manufacturers – landlord certificates, fault finding and diagnostics on breakdowns, repairs and component replacements, removing and re–fitting new boilers, installations. Underfloor heating systems, thermostats, radiators, hot water taps, vented & un–vented systems, hto & cold water storage tanks and other heating / gas accessories / systems / appliances. General plumbing – leak detection, fault finding, repairs and replacing to pipework (PVC, copper etc), fitting new pipework to heating systems, internal blockages, repair and replacement taps, flushers, toilet seats, repair, removal and installations of toilets, urinals, baths, shower heads etc. Providing the highest possible level of customer service within customers privately owned homes. Surveying and estimating / quoting small works including heating and plumbing removal and installations, alongside other domestic works. Providing detailed reports of works to customers. To be considered for this Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer position, we expect you to meet the following requirements:
Essential:
Must be a qualified Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer with current ACS Gas Safe: CCN1. Must have a driving licence with no more than 6 points. Must have experience working in privately owned, domestic households. Must be comfortable carrying out servicing, breakdowns and installation works. Desirable but not essential:
ACS Commercial Gas Qualification: COCN1 / CODNCO1 (also offers higher rates). G3 Un–vented qualifcation.
