Freelance Design Manager

Description

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key role in managing design delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Must have previous MOJ or Prison project experience

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the design processManage design programmes, technical submissions, design changes and requests for informationEnsure designs comply with Building RegulationsMonitor design qualityMaintain effective relationships with the client, consultants, subcontractors and wider project delivery team.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a Design Manager within a main contractor environment.Experience delivering complex construction projects from design development through to completion.Strong knowledge of technical design coordinationExcellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
