Assistant Site Manager
EWI/REFURB/SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECTS
Location: Leith, Edinburgh
Pay Rate: £26–£27 per hour
Job Type: Long-Term Contract / Permanent Opportunity
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join a busy team overseeing a large social housing contract in Edinburgh.
Our client has secured a substantial programme of works across council-owned properties, covering External Wall Insulation (EWI), refurbishment projects, kitchen and bathroom replacements and other property improvement works.
Initially based in Leith, Edinburgh, this is a great opportunity to get involved in a long-term programme of work, with the option to move into a permanent position after an initial 3-month period.
The Role
Working alongside the Site Management team, you will assist with the day-to-day running of projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing a variety of subcontractors, trades and labour on site.
*
Assisting with the coordination of daily site activities and work programmes.
*
Monitoring Health & Safety across the projects.
*
Carrying out site checks and ensuring work is completed to the required standards.
*
Managing site resources and helping to keep projects running smoothly.
*
Liaising with tenants, subcontractors and the wider management team where required.
*
Identifying and helping to resolve any site issues.
About You
*
Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar construction role.
*
Experience overseeing trades and subcontractors.
*
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
*
Confident communicating with site teams and other stakeholders.
*
Organised, practical and able to manage competing priorities.
*
Experience within social housing, refurbishment or external works would be advantageous.
