Proline radio cassette player.

Model PTX2000 Power Blaster.

Classic late 80's early 90's portable radio cassette.

Part of my collection of retro electronics now being reduced in size.

I serviced and restored this last year. New tape drive belts were fitted and both cassette mechanisms cleaned and lubricated. Both tape decks work well and speed is nice and stable. The cassette loading flap on deck A is a bit loose. This is because the plastic arm inside is broken, unfortunately there was nothing I could do to repair this. The flap still operates perfectly well and the cassette still loads and plays, you just have to be a little careful when opening and closing so please be aware of this if you decide to buy.

There are a few small marks and blemishes here and there commensurate with age and use but the item is otherwise in very nice clean condition. The battery compartment is clean and the 3 section telescopic aerial is nice and straight.

This has the benefit of an auxiliary input by way of two phono sockets on the rear so you can connect various external devices such as a smart phone, Ipod etc.
