The Redundant Architects Recreation Association (R.A.R.A.) a creative workspace with a friendly atmosphere. Fixed and hot desks located in a large open plan studio filled with natural light and a huge variety of making facilities alongside including a full wood workshop.

If you’re looking for a space to work your day job and explore other creative passions around it this is the perfect place for you!

Fiercely independent with a strong social and political conscience and a decidedly non-commercial approach RARA was set up in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis as a way to explore alternative ways of working. It has subsequently grown into a thriving community of creatives working across many fields.

We like to keep things simple so there is no fixed sign up period, simply a rolling monthly agreement. We ask for one calendar months notice when you wish to leave and for those wishing to use facilities like the workshop there is an expectation that you will stay for the longer term, this is due to the time consuming need to ensure people are safely inducted into the space/using dangerous equipment etc.

-24/7 access
-Use of workshop and all other making facilities @ £1/hr

-Post handling, taking in/signing for stuff in your absence etc

Fixed desk membership @ £270/month includes;
-Your own desk space to get settled in
-Lots of associated storage space to keep materials and other things for all your creative pursuits
-Booking fee waiver for the large tables in our upstairs studio when you need to spread out.
-Priority booking for other spaces and for events.
-Ability to bring in occasional guests with prior arrangement.

Hot desking/Basic membership @ £90/month includes;
-Use of hotdesks booked @ £1/hr
-A box to store a limited amount of your stuff
