Nǐhǎo! I am Frances, and I am Little Miss Mandarin. As a native Mandarin tutor and language coach from Taiwan, I provide a series of engaging and enjoyable lessons tailored especially for you.

Since 2009, I've taught Mandarin as a foreign language to hundreds of learners aged between 5 and over 60. My experience includes one-to-one coaching as well as teaching at secondary and primary schools.

I structure my lessons around your needs, and build on your previous experience, enabling you to progress quickly and speak with confidence. I also tailor to your specific interests or requirements, whether it is learning Mandarin for leisure or for business, improving your conversation skills, or preparing for an exam (GCSE, IGCSE, A-level, IB or HSK).

I am passionate and dedicated to my students, making sure every lesson is extremely enjoyable. I do this using bespoke and topical content that includes a variety of media types such as videos, recordings and articles. And the learning does not stop when my lesson ends – I give guidance and supported homework to enhance your independent learning.

I am available to teach online and face-to-face locally. The first 30-minute session is free, within which we identify your current level, establish your aspirations, and set up a bespoke learning structure developed specifically for you and your schedule.
