The AET course is an adult teacher training qualification suitable for those who want to go into post 16 teaching provided they are qualified in the subject they want to teach. Level 3 AET is fully accredited and recognised qualification and regulated by OFQUAL.
The course comprises of the following learning outcomes:-Understand your own role, responsibilities and boundaries of the role in relation to teaching.

-Understand teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area

-Demonstrate session planning skills

-Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners.

-Understand the use of different assessment method and the need for record keeping.

The award is accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is a single unit attracting 12 RQF points.

Entry Requirement:
Learners should be aged 19 or over to undertake the qualification. No other eligibility requirement applies.

Online/Distance learning course:
This qualification is delivered through our online based learning platform or Zoom classroom based with full tutor support throughout the course. The course materials can be accessed from anywhere through our student's portal. Our courses are designed to be convenient and intuitive and delivered as part of a holistic approach. Micro teaching is an activity where trainee teachers prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to their peers. You need to do Micro Teach for 15- 30 in front of 2 audiences, who can be your peer observers. This session need to recorded face to face or via Teams/Zoom or another platform on your chosen topic and send them along with your coursework for assessment.

The course is done at your own pace with a tutor's guidance. Once you book the course, the Student Portal access would be sent out to you and you will be given up to 4 months to complete the course. However if you finish earlier, you will be awarded early as long as you meet the required standard, you do not need to wait for 16 weeks.

Face to Face or Live Zoom Classroom Course:
Face to Face classroom or live Zoom / Webinar class duration is for 3 days from 10am - 5pm and we have this session every week. You will be given 3 weeks to complete the coursework after the classroom session. However if you finish earlier, you will be awarded early. During this time one of our qualified tutor will give you support if you need any.

Course Assessment:
There is no formal examination is required, but at the end of the course you need to submit a portfolio/coursework. It takes up to 7-10 days to get assessed/marked the coursework and achieve the certificate.
