Selling my beloved Citroen C1 because I recently got a job that requires me to drive a lot so I got a different car. On the latest MOT it passed with no advisories (rare for a car this age), the MOT was done at a council MOT station so no messing about there. Bit sad to see it go because it’s taken me all over the country, saved me hundreds on my first year of insurance (1400£ with no NCB, no parents on the policy, and no black box at 21 year old), and never gave much trouble. The car has a reverse camera that also works as a dash cam (saved me a few times), and arm rests for each of the front seats that makes motorway journeys a lot more comfortable.

I’m a engineer by trade so I’ve looked after the car and know everything there is to know about him. I bought the car a year with the intention to keep him long term, So it has been fully serviced (including items the dealers don’t normally do). A list of work includes:

Oil and oil filter change (will be done again soon so you’re good for another year)
Transmission fluid change
Air filters
Spark plugs
Engine coolant
Brake fluid
Pair of rear brakes include all new springs and self adjusters
New tyres, about 5.5mm of tread left (put in a year ago, front are Nexens, rear is one Avon and one Sunfull, the Sunfull was put in by the previous owner and was close to new when I got it)
Rear lamp seals (common fault on this type, but you’ll be good to go)

I used only Bosch or Denso parts, and the oil is to the exact manufacture specifications, not just the right grade. I have receipts for all the parts and an excel sheet tracking when all the work was done and any observations. There are plenty of pictures I’ve taken during services, and a snake can video showing the timing chain not stretched. I got the car with no history so did the snake can to check for chain wear, which is the only common thing that kills those engine.

The bad bits, the bumpers, mirrors and some paint aren’t in great condition, as shown in the pictures. I have taken them into consideration in the price.

The car is ideal for any new drivers looking to build up some NCB without breaking the bank, and wants a car that will get you where you need with no trouble for years to come.
