Description
For sale very rare Ercol ‘Chairmakers’ armchair (model 7911) designed by Lucian Ercolani as a celebration of ‘Windsor’ chair maker in High Wycombe during the late 60’s.
RRP: £935 each (current production)
This iconic piece was designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity.
This piece is of the usual high quality one expects from this manufacturer. The saddle seat is of solid elm and the steam bent frame is of beech. It is finished in 'Traditional' colour and matt protective lacquer.
Size of the chair (approximately):
Height: 42.5” (108cm)
Width: 24” (60cm)
Depth: 26” (67cm)
Seat Height: 16.5” (42cm)
The chair is in very good (original) vintage condition with some light marks commensurate with age and use. The chair is sturdy with no loose joints or spindles and no separation to the ash seat. It has been cleaned and waxed. Original ‘Ercol made in High Wycombe Buckinghamshire England’ label is still attached.
Please see pictures for a better idea of the condition. I have tried to show colours as accurately as possible but please remember colours do appear differently on some monitors.
