with Rattan Cane Weaved Seat,
circa 1850's.
We are delighted to offer this rather stunning well proportioned antique bobbin turned rocking armchair. Rare example Victorian period rocking armchair in a blonde solid elm wood. Fabulous bobbin turned spindles though out the chair, sweeping rattan cane weaved seat & scroll over armrest. Bobbin turn legs & stretcher terminating at arched rockers. The rattan cane work has been replaced at some stage & is of a good standard, remain solid & really add to the charm of this chair. It comes directly from a grand estate sale & is sold in superb as found antique condition. Would be a spectacular interior design country house kitchen or fireside statement piece.
