Renaissance started at a small venue called Venue 44 in the small mining town of Mansfield, Nottingham before quickly relocating to Nottingham City Centre to a massive disused cinema called “The Elite which eventually changed hands and became “Gatecrasher”. The club night was renowned for it,s glamorous lavish production values and quickly progressed to host many night,s in many of the UK,s superclubs expanding into Ibiza and then globally. This particular three disc compilation was groundbreaking as being the first ever mix CD to be released by any record company and set the president for every mix CD released since then. This is the original release of the triple cd (not the reissue) and features superstar DJ legends Sasha & John Digweed. I purchased this CD from new and all discs have only been played by myself and all discs have been tested and play perfectly. This collection is highly collectable and very rare as it is the original fold out sleeve box set (see pics) and a must for anyone wanting to build their collection and a take trip down memory lane to an era when clubbing was at it,s best.
