This particular rug depicts icons of the lifestyle of the south Persian nomadic tribe who wove this rug.
Persian Souf Gabbeh rugs have a very rare technique of weaving which typically has the background woven in a flat weave and the design woven with a raised pile.
These rugs are very rarely available to buy in the UK.
