A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME (AND THE ROLE)

I’m a disabled mother and wife,

I've had Cerebral Palsy all my life.

I'm a school governor and an author too,

Could you support me in all that I do?

Are you looking for a job that's fun?

How would you like to work with me, one on one?

I need help with my personal care,

Looking after my home and everyone there.

You will need a licence to drive my car,

To drive me around, both near and far.

This job is varied, no two days the same,

And working with me is never mundane!

ABOUT THE WORK

This is a temporary part-time + ongoing relief role covering:

Long-term sickness (temporary cover)
Annual leave and other absences within the team (permanent relief)

A 4-weekly rota is in place, with each team member having their own set hours.

Current temporary requirements (while covering long-term sickness) include:
Thursday mornings – 8am-1pm
One Sunday per month – 8am-6pm

Additional permanent relief shifts are offered regularly and will include:

Weekdays / Evenings / Sleep-in night shifts / Weekend shifts

Shifts are planned in advance wherever possible, and reliability is highly valued - as is mutual respect and good communication.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

£12.50 per hour and on-call sleep-in rate (will be explained)
Full Holiday Pay / Bank Holiday Pay / Statutory Sick Pay / Pension included
Full induction and training

ESSENTIAL NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Female applicants only, due to the intimate nature of providing personal care (*)
A Full Clean UK Driving Licence
Own car (public transport cannot be relied on due to rural location)
Fully fluent in English with excellent communication skills
A kind, dependable nature and the ability to work as part of a small, supportive team
