Senior Residential Support Worker (OFSTED Children's Residential Home)

Salary package of £31,000 – £33,000 excluding sleep-in allowance (dependent on experience and qualifications).

About the Role

Our client is looking for a committed and resilient Senior Residential Support Worker to play a key role in supporting young people with EBD at their children's home located in Hertfordshire (HP3). You will act as a role model and take the lead in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care.

Candidate will possess a good understanding of OFSTED regulations and compliance requirements, along with experience of working at a children's home.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care plans.Lead shifts and support the team with guidance, mentoring and supervision.Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment.Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and key working sessions.Support with staff induction and training.Ensure safeguarding procedures are consistently followed.

Requirements:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare – desirable.Minimum 2 years' experience working in a residential childcare setting.Strong communication and team leadership skills.A sound understanding of safeguarding and therapeutic approaches to care.Full UK driving licence – desirable.

Hours:

37.5 hours; Full-TimeShift work including weekends, evenings and nights plus sleep-ins (separate sleep-in rate)
