Next to a river (low down so doesn't flood), perfect for fishing, summer time see families playing splashing on the river too.
Caravans are not so squashed in right next to each other on site like others would. Lovely views to the woods and river.
Caravan site has also got a train station to access local train to nearby villages and towns - train line only being recently restored, train usually runs in the summer months.
Easy driving distance to Beamish, Hemsterley Forest, Auckland Castle, Highforce, Raby Castle, still reachable for a day out in Northumberland / Newcastle / Whitby /Penrith (lake district) etc.
