Description

*Can be delivered in central Scotland at cost - I have an HGV license and happy to drive*

We bought this over a year ago as temporary accommodation during our house renovation, but in the meantime got planning consent for a permanent dwelling, meaning this is surplus to requirements.

This is a lovely hand built wooden building, much nicer than those cheap interlocking plank garden buildings to commonly see. The T&G pine ceiling and floor boards are what sold it to me. The wooden double glazed windows look great too.

For completeness though, this is not built to the same standard as a kit house. The walls are 3X2 with membrane and cladding, floor are 3X2 with pine T&G(designed to go on a base), and roof 6X2 with pine T&G.

It was custom designed and built by Himley Garden Buildings, and transported to Scotland on a 7.5t flatbed lorry by its first owner to live in whilst caring for an aged parent. It was lived in for two years, but only as a bedroom and large livingroom as they used the kitchen and bathroom in the house. It's the size of a large static so could easily accomodate a kitchen, bathroom, livingroom and two bedrooms if carefully divided. This was our plan as I couldn't bare living in a plastic caravan for years!

I dismantled it into its 4m sections, and transported it to where I live in a 7.5t box lorry, where it has stayed in sections under cover in my boat shed since.

- As it is sectional, the panels can be arranged in whatever order you like, so you can have the side windows where suits you best.
- You'll have to build a 6X2 base to sit this on, or a concrete slab. It previously had a 6X2 wooden base with decked area to the front.
- It comes with corrugated fiber roofing panels
- There's plenty of 25mm and 50mm insulation cut to various sizes that came with it
- You'll need to re-line the walls internally. The previous owner used wall papered chipboard and it was un-salvageable.
- I've even got the old consumer unit and some of the wiring. Yours if you want it!
- It should be pretty obvious how to build it if you've got some experience. I have photos which will help too.
- There are 14 separate sections.

The panels are a 4 person lift. Moving this is a serious undertaking! I'm happy to be the 4th person during collection/delivery but you'll need at least 3 strong people who are happy moving heavy items.

During dismantling and transport there were a few minor damages.
- The glass entrance door to the rear (not the front doors) has a crack in the glass so will need a new Double Glazed Unit
- A very small section of T+G cladding up by the ridge on the front section has broken off. Easily replaced.
- The floor (which was carpeted prior to my ownership, but is a lovely pine T&G so I planned to have it bare, has two damaged boards where it was dismantled into the sections. Again as easy repair.

Theres a lot of value in the materials alone. The previous owner paid 28k for the basic building, then added insulation, wiring and finishes. I just want my money back.

Located 90 mins (in a lorry) North West of Glasgow
