Description
this is a former portacabin single axle that i cut down as a car transporter trailer then later made this heavy open box trailer, i went overboard on the metal so although it needs a total derusting and repainting, it is solid, the tyres were new when i laid it up 3 yrs ago,
the wood needs totally replacing,
i have 3 jockey wheels on it, the normal wind up one, and 2 on clamps on the box corners which allow you to manually move it when fully loaded.
when loaded this is too heavy for a car so a 4x4 or van is needed to tow it,
it is braked but the yoke snapped and i have another to be fitted.
i,ve had 2 ton of soil in it and theres a slot in the sides for a board to allow you to load more loose stuff such as chippings on one side than the other to keep it balanced.
so this is a repair / restoration job for a heavy duty trailer,
collection from risca near newport gwent np11.
the tyres cost me £80 before laying it up, selling at £150 no offers i,ll add pictures of the extra jockeys from my old pc later.
it is towable as it is, bring a light board, the A frame is quite long the total length is about 9ft the box is approx 4ft x5ft, decent mudguards and removable lift off tailgate.
after you see it, it will take me 30 mins or so to winch back out,
it nearly killed me when i winched it on its end to put in position on my own.
