After much thought, I’ve decided to sell my much-loved VW van. I’ve owned it for around 11 years and, like many VW owners, I’ve probably been overly protective of it. The van has always been kept clean and tidy inside and out, and it has genuinely been a cherished member of the family.
Around five years ago, the van underwent a significant refresh. This included upgraded seats, a redesigned interior, and a full body repaint, including colour-coded front grilles. Since then, it has been kept on my drive under a breathable, fitted cover, which will be included in the sale.
Given the vehicle’s age, there are a few points any prospective buyer should be aware of (detailed below). However, these are far outweighed by the positives: the excellent overall condition, the care it has received, and how well it drives. Oil and filters have been changed annually, and parts have always been proactively replaced at the first sign of wear rather than left to fail.
The van drives extremely well. I would encourage any serious buyer to check the MOT history on the government website, which shows consistent passes year after year, with only the usual replacement of age-related consumables.

Points to Be Aware Of
Transparency is important, so please note the following:
* The van is now 20 years old and does not have modern vehicle technology. This model does not have air conditioning.
* There is a known issue with the internal heater blower direction, which currently only blows to the windscreen and footwell. This has never been a major problem for me, but a new owner may wish to address this, which would involve work behind the dashboard.
* There are a few very small areas of surface rust, consistent with the vehicle’s age. These are minor and only noticeable on close inspection.
* The rear barn door occasionally requires a second close due to the blackout blinds lightly touching the door rim. This could be resolved by trimming the blinds slightly, but I chose not to do so.
* The pop-top roof has some marks and small tears to the vented mesh. This does not affect waterproofing and is best viewed in person.

This is a genuinely well-cared-for VW camper that has been loved, maintained properly, and enjoyed responsibly. It’s an absolute pleasure to own and drive, and I’d love it to go to someone who will appreciate it as much as I have.
