Description
Great condition, 2402cc diesel, Recently MOT'd and all fine and dandy. Asking price 25K but we are open to offers.
We are selling a unique and beautifully converted Ford Transit LWB. Its previous life was a 17-seater minibus so there is masses of room in the back. The interior has a wood-lined ceiling and features a permanent double bed alongside a wardrobe/tall storage cupboard, rock & roll seats, dining table, handmade solid wood cupboards and a lovely solid wood worktop featuring a sink and two-burner gas hob. There is masses of storage space in the 4 overhead lockers as well a huge area under the bed at the rear. The cab itself is very roomy with a passenger bench for 2 passengers. The unique aspect of this conversion compared to some others is that it has windows (tinted) down the length of the van along with a skylight meaning it is extremely light and better for the passengers as they can see out when in transit. When it is time for sleeping each window has hand-fitted insulated blinds, we have a windscreen cover and there is a set of downlighters and dimmable reading lights to ensure it is warm and cosy. There are roof-mounted solar panels with inverter and an extra leisure battery (recently replaced), along with various USB points throughout the build ensuring ample power supply for all your gadgets.
There is a full sized permanent double bed at the rear of the van, with rock & roll belted seats that slide into a double bed in the main area. The 5th berth is laid across the driver and passenger seats (see photos).
This was originally a 17-seater school minibus but was converted by the previous owner into a luxurious 5-berth campervan. We were the first family to use it as a campervan and have had some wonderful holidays in it. It is extremely easy to drive and besides a replacement starter motor we have never had any mechanical problems with it. We don’t have an official weighing certificate, but we do have the original documentation that puts it under 3.5t and means it can be driven on a normal driving licence (category B).
Please note that the mileage is estimated from our own holiday logs as the vehicle (when it was a minibus) had a separate tachometer which was disconnected when it was converted. It is a quirk of the Mk.7s but if you have the Ford diagnostic tools (see website) you can get it to display properly.
