I was looking for someone to carry out some emergency repairs on a chimney and found JSJ via Bark. Joe responded very promptly to my enquiry, provided a competitive quote promptly and completed the job (repointing and weather proofing) within a few days of the initial contact. I will have no hesitation in using him again for maintenance tasks and happy to recommend to others.

I don't normally post reviews unless they are positive and it gives me no pleasure in posting this but I need to warn any unsuspecting potential customers of JSJ Property Maintenance Joseph Richards quoted me for a job for which I paid £3,000 up front with a promise to start the following Tuesday. Tuesday came, no Joseph and no message to explain. When I eventually contacted him he claimed he'd had a sudden illness which required hospitalisation. Given this and the fact we'd already had issues with a previous builder who'd let us down, we mutually agreed to cancel the job. He then promised to repay the deposit in 'one or two days'. It's been a month since that conversation but still no refund. Mr Richards and I have spoken once since where Mr Richards has stated his intention to repay me but that his ongoing health issues prevent him from doing so. He has since stopped responding to any attempts to contact him I'm now left with seeking legal advice to recover my deposit BE WARNED

Got to the job to look at what needed doing would of got the job done today if he could but the weather is still bad. A very friendly lovely professional man I could not ask for a better service he will complete the work this week hopefully does not rip you off like some people try too. Thank you Richard.
