The task was to restore the roof of the sunroom attached to the south side of my chalet-bungalow. Previous work had not succeeded in keeping out the weather and we agreed that all previous materials, already wet through leakage, should be removed and replaced. Further, an appropriate fall should be created, and proper full-length guttering would be needed to drain water quickly from the new roof into my barrel. Throughout the job, Chris Marsh communicated clearly his goals, methods and any concerns. This did a lot to confirm my belief that I had found a perfect professional. The two workers went about their tasks safely and with care. The work proceeded according to our plan, and the entire project was completed in the projected four days. All the earlier materials were removed from my property. Honesty and reliability were key features of our co-operation and I am delighted with the result. The sunroom roof is now strong, fit for purpose and built to a higher standard than the original.

Absolutely wouldn't use again. I was working abroad at the time and my girlfriends fence blew down on the 24th November. She was pregnant at the time and anxious about being alone and the fence now giving access to the back of her garden if anyone decided to wander in. I put a Bark request up and Chris was fast to respond. He came round and quoted either that same day or the day after (can't remember at this point). He said he could get it done the next day. The quote however, was ridiculous at £3780 for 5 fence panels, 5 gravel boards/posts, a gate (that has been made incorrectly) and a 1ft width of fence paneling, considering I'd just had my fence done that was twice the panels, and included a gate and concrete posts too-at £3092 I pointed this out and he put it down to cost of materials and his 'warrantee' on the work done. I figured I'd also put it down to the urgency of the job getting done so soon. Fence got done, once I'd came back into country, I checked the fence out. One of the posts wasn't set properly and had a wobble to it. After contacting Chris on the 29th November, and arranging a date for it to get sorted, that date came and went. contact on the 12th and arranged another date. It finally got sorted out on the 18th December. Thought everything was fine but noticed the gate tilting and not aligning with the bolt latch. Further investigation found the gate post to be wobbly. The gate was attached to a post which then had the 1 ft width of panelling which then went to another post that was attached to the side of the garage. Except it wasnt. The 1 ft width of fence wassnt attached to the fence post to the garage. It's just slotted in. So you have a gate that swings open and shut and the weight of it swinging around a single post. Which of course, is going to work it loose. Which it has. I sent a video showing this but while the message and video has been seen, it has been ignored. His 'warrantee' on work isn't worth anything as far as I'm concerned. That issue is caused by laziness, the gate incorrectly fabricated is either laziness or ignorance-not something you'd expect from a 'professional' and that price looking back is disgusting for what I received. It feels like my girlfriend was taken advantage of due to her feeling vulnerable at the time. I've since fixed it myself with a simple bracket. While others seem to have had no issue with this guy and his work, it seems I'm the unlucky one. I have videos/conversation screenshots for proof to back this up. 2 stars-one for the majority of the fence is ok, one more star because it did get done fast. Would not recommend.
