Cumbrian Driveways are the worst company that I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. They laid a resin driveway and path to the front and side of my house. When it was completed there were several areas where the resin and gravel had been mixed incorrectly and inconsistently meaning that three patches had to be laid where the resin had not bonded and the gravel came loose, the colour of these patches is completely different to the rest of the drive and the finish looks appalling. In several other areas, it appears that too much resin was applied to the mix and the consistency of the finish did not match the surrounding area, again ruining the look of the drive. Finally and most seriously, after they had left I found that where they had fitted a new, smaller drain cover to an existing drain on the drive, they had fitted a piece of ply wood into the gap between the new cover and the edge of the drain to support the resin. This means that in the not too distant future when the wood rots, there will be no support for the resin and it will probably collapse when weight is applied. As this would be an extremely dangerous situation, I am going to have to pay another company to dig up and relay the drive correctly and safely.
