Description
I bought this early 90’s when studying Photography. Been in storage for years. Never been removed from its slip-cover. I can’t see if it is 1st edition or not. Other sellers suggest it is noted in the info.

Published by Random House, New York, USA, 1992. Pale grey cloth covered boards with silver embossed lettering on the spine and plain embossed lettering on the front board. Book in mint condition. Jacket unclipped with minimal wear. This is the definitive collection of Robert Mapplethorpe's black-and-white photographs, drawing on the full range of his work, from the early polaroid photographs to the haunting self-portraits taken shortly before he died, some of an explicit nature. Includes the original slipcase.
