Vintage Custom Road Bike. Eroica? Large 23.5" Frame. Quality Components.

Description

Selling only to reduce my bicycle collection this is a custom built machine put together by somebody with an eye for quality and practicality.
It is a large 23.5 inch steel frame with age patina you can see in my photographs.

The list of equipment is as follows:

Front and rear Mavic MA40 rims with stainless spokes.

Shimano steel pedals and guides.

Michelin Orium blue rim tyres, 700 x 23c (hardly worn).

P1001 quick release skewers.

Rear Derailleur Shimano 105 with 6 gear cassette.

Front Derailleur also Shimano.

Exage Motion Biopace Cranks with 40/62 chain rings.

Cinelli 64-40 drop bars.

Campagnolo brake levers with side pull brakes.

Campagnolo top and bottom headset.

Alloy seatpost.

Selle Italia "Turbo" leather saddle.

Twin Sachs downtube shifters.

BOR YUEH aluminium bottle cage.

I have been unable to identify the exact manufacturer of the frame itself. There is a frame number stamped underneath the bottom bracket cable guide but it is partially obscured and I was reluctant to remove the guide in case it was damaged in the process. The frame number format might be enough for a more enlightened enthusiast to identify the maker. Nevertheless it is a well put together steel frame with nicely butted joints.

I suspect I could strip this bike and get much more financially for the individual components but I'd rather it stayed intact with a new owner who can get the most from it.

Collection only please from West Lancashire, 10 minutes from J27 of the M6. I don't have any facilities for wrapping a bike and couriers will insist on it being wrapped in my experience.
