Description
First there was the Tour Easy, then there was the Gold Rush replica (the Gold Rush set numerous land speed records) then there was the ultimate, the Ti Rush. The history of these bikes is well worth researching. They were made in a small workshop in a town called Freedom in California. They are no longer made, following the tragic early death of the founder and builder, Gardner Martin.
These bikes are incredibly comfortable. There is no weight on your wrists or shoulders and you're looking forward without having to crane your neck. I have done many 100 mile days on this bike. It's also fast. Whenever I have compared average and top speeds with other bikes I've owned, the Ti Rush is always just a bit faster without any extra effort.
The bike comes with two seats. The 'cool back' mesh seat and the stiff back racing seat. It has a mixture of Shimano 105, Ultegra and Dura-Ace components. It's 2x9. It has a Swiss Pletcher kick stand. The chain is virtually new.
This is a bike for the cognoscenti. It's as capable of touring as it is of racing. It's a delight to ride whilst appreciating in value.
