Description
Decent used condition suspension forks.
Must be used with 24 inch wheels maximum.
Look a bit tatty but no rust on the sliders and they move well.
PLEASE SEE PICTURES
The newest one is the picture with the fork bridge painted black.
The rust kept returning so it's had a coat of Hammerite paint.
The original rust pitting on the chrome fork bridge was cleaned up with a wire brush, but it needed more protection.
So it's now black, not shiny.
Forks have V brake / cantilever brake posts.
Sizing etc:
Suspension travel: around 50mm
Axle to crown length: 410mm
Steerer length: 172mm from bottom of crown race to top of thread
Narrow steerer tube to fit 22.2mm quill stem (standard for kids bikes)
Doesn't fit Ahead handlebar stems
Threaded section of steerer 60mm
Supplied with press-fit headset cups and bearings. Ball bearings in races. Upper race is nice and greasy, lower race was a little rusty. Could be cleaned, greased and reused.
When using the supplied headset, the steerer accommodates a frame headtube from 140mm (uncut steerer) down to 100mm (cut and running out of thread)
