Dressing Table, Headboard/bedside cabinets and Wardrobes 1960's Vintage Afrormosia

All items were made by White and Newton Limited, of Portsmouth in the 1960’s.

DRESSING TABLE, HEADBOARD WITH INTEGRAL BEDSIDE CABINETS, WARDROBE


This beautiful 60’s ‘Aston’ DRESSING TABLE has been used mainly as a decorative piece so is in really good condition.
Dressing table has lovely tapered legs to each side giving the iconic 60’s look, and 3 drawers to each side, one of which incorporates a velvet lined jewellery tray. The lovely long mirror tilts backwards and forwards and is removable for transportation. Measurements are approx.:
168cm wide (6’6”)
106cm high floor to top of mirror, 63cm (24 ¾”) high floor to top of dressing table surface.
Drawers are 7.5cm deep (top drawer) and 12.5cm deep (bottom 2) The gap for stool is 46cm wide.
Legs 24cm from floor to base
Includes the original dressing table stool in a lovely gold/mustard colour - fabric excellent unworn condition.
Stool height is 44cm, width 45cm and 39.5cm deep.

The ‘Aston’ HEADBOARD is In good condition for it’s age. It comprises of two bedside cabinets each with 3 cool tapered legs, and a board at the back which runs onto (and is fixed to) the central headboard. The unit breaks down to 3 parts which makes it much easier to transport. The bedside cabinets have glass tops for protection.

‘Aston’ WARDROBE 137.5cm wide (4’6” wide) 167.5 high, 56 1/2cm deep
Two opening doors, with lock/key and hanging rail. One opening door with shelves ( removable but shelf supports are in fixed positions inside wardrobe).
The wardrobe has been well used and therefore does show some wear, one door has been fixed back on and a small hinge is missing. It could look really lovely again with a bit of attention. We have ‘installation instructions’ and so will dismantle the wardrobe to help with transportation.
