Description

Good to see you here because I just now acknowledged that you have read my profile. Do go through our policies before making your decision whether you (re)start your child’s music journey.

!Policies

DO NOT ask for a quote /
DO NOT CONTACT us /
DO NOT study music if you

1. are unable to practice with your child.

2. do not give priorty to the learning.

3a. only have limited time slots for our lessons. For example 4:30pm Monday exclusively.

3b. only attend 1, 2 or 3 lessons per month.

3c. do not schedule regular lesson and practice.

3d. have inquiry about the length of lesson - 1-min lesson is too much for the one who doesn’t practice at all. 1-hour is way too less for the gifted.

3e. waste your time and the others because the child isn’t interested in music at all.

3f. expect a free trial from us.

3g. argue how live music exams are worth more than digital assessment - we never do rubbish live performance in front of examiners / adjudicators / jury.

4. compare your child with those showing off in Facebook / Instagram / Youtube.

5a. question every single pedagogical approach especially for those very young beginner. You’d better teach yourself.

5b. believe to play by ear - aural is important but playing at sight is crucial.

6. think your child is exceptionally gifted, for example: member of MENSA etc. because it means NOTHING and we DON’T recognize it.

7. or your child wants to control the repertoire - you have no say on this.

8. expect your attendance lower than 90% - that is less than 47 (lessons) out of 52 weeks per year. 1-week break is way too long for a professional student.

9. are not punctual (say arriving 20 mins earlier or 20 mins later than the schedule)

10. would like to make comparison between your other child’s teacher and ours.

11. want to “try out” if your child is musical especially when you don’t even own a musical instrument.

12. are keen to know if our teachers have been well-qualified - you don’t need to know - we do have diplomas / master’s / ph.D degree students studying with us.

13a. consider social life / playday / birthday party are more important than lessons.

13b. would like to show off your child’s music making in playday / birthday party / social life / social media.

We suggest the one who violates any single policy above WITHDRAW MUSIC class altogether as soon as possible. Many teachers out there offer lessons with those specific clients.

After all, you still want to get started, do check in!

About me
I have experience of 30 years, teaching individuals with different musical interests. Whether you just like the tune of keys or aiming to make a career in the industry, I can assist you with my lessons. Equipped with an Enhanced DBS Clearance, I have taught at multiple institutions and schools. I have a proven excellent track record for helping students during exams and competitions. Music has dual learning scope - in the studio and on stage. I include both in my lessons, engaging in regular practice sessions and performance training.

There is always a chat session before starting the classes. I start with befriending my students, knowing their requirements well. This helps me in planning lessons in a personalised way. You are select between online and offline sessions. I welcome my students to my place, so they can learn in a dedicated environment. Feel free to connect.
