Salary: £40,000 gross per annum (pro rata)

An incredibly warm and caring family based in South Oxfordshire are seeking an experienced Live-in Afterschool Nanny to provide maternity cover for a six-month period.

The role supports two bright, well-mannered girls, aged 14 and 12, who attend the same secondary school. They are doing very well academically and have a shared love of musical theatre, singing, football, and creative pursuits - there is rarely a dull afternoon.

The position centres around school pick-ups, homework supervision, accompanying the girls to activities, early suppers, and keeping the afterschool routine running smoothly. There is also a light organisational element, including staying on top of school communications, key dates, and term-time logistics.

Hours are Monday to Friday from 3:00pm–6:00pm, with one evening of babysitting per week agreed in advance (typically until 10:00pm, with the occasional overnight).

The role is live-in, with excellent private accommodation provided. A car is available for sole use, and the successful candidate must be a confident driver. No laundry or cleaning duties are required.

The household is home to two cats, so a pet-friendly Nanny who is happy working alongside animals is essential.

The family are seeking a warm, sensible, and intellectually grounded Nanny who enjoys working with older children and can strike a balance between structure and fun. A background in tutoring, teaching, or academic support would be welcomed.

This is a maternity cover position, with the current Nanny due to return following the agreed six-month period.

We have worked closely with this family for over five years, and their current Nanny has been with them for four years.
