Description

Audi TT Quattro 1.8 (180bhp) Turbo with 6 speed gearbox . Good performance and paint work considering its age. Now declared SORN.

Positives : ACCELERATION, motorway driving especially really highlights one of the many reasons this car became iconic. This car still has a lot of power in 6th gear.

Fuel consumption is about normal for the size of the engine. More economic if driven like a normal car.

NO BANGS, NO KNOCKS, NO SQUEEKS

Paint work is very good for a car that’s 23 years old.

Factory speakers in front of car (inside of doors) were replace with Sub Zero speakers that have a slightly better dynamic range

Pioneer headunit installed, has DAB radio, Bluetooth / aux / USB connectivity

Leather seats are in good condition too

New aluminium coolant flange installed (upper part of engine)

New oil sensor installed

Brand new exhaust system installed this includes a new flex pipe, new mid pipe aswell as brand new cat and the gaskets Inbetween (this was recently installed and fitted LCM (official Porsche aftercare specialist - filton)

4 brand new tyres have also been fitted aswell as BREMBO brake pads (front and back)

Induction sound kicks in as soon as turbo hits a high frequency (nice to hear everytime)

I have some specialist tools for removing / installing spark plugs (made for the TT) which I’ll include aswell as Turtle wax colour magic to keep the TT looking at its best

***THINGS THAT REQUIRE ATTENTION***

The infamous fault with all TTs ……. The instrument cluster…. It needs its solder joints re-soldered and a new lcd screen installed : this is common (I have a new lcd screen for such a task and am happy to pass on to new owner

O2 Sensor on exhaust) will need replacing OR BYPASSING…. Be warned it’s a bastard to get out, remove at own risk. Some people leave it as it is.

Air conditioning: may need to be re:gassed, I’ve yet to fully explore its functionality.

Spark plugs : I’ve not checked them since I bought the Audi but they will need to be the diamond / platinum range that will require a quarter turn (28 torque) this information I found via YouTube from an Audi enthusiast that has been some serious time and effort restoring it back to full health

BRAKE FLUID SHOULD BE REPLACED, of course it still brakes as you would expect but replacement of this fluid will help prevent corrosion of brake lines. I was quoted £30 only at MW AUTOS filton but this can also be done using own kit or method. Plenty of ways to do this on YouTube.

This car in good shape with full MOT can fetch anywhere between £4900 to £12000
You can find these prices via EBay

This car is a bargain for a potential owner or an earner for an enthusiast

Will include specialist spark plug removal tools and a brand new lcd to help towards the resoldering of the TTs most common fault - the instrument cluster (speedometer and rev counter) currently set 20 mph below zero. (For example 20mph would be 40mph : 10mph would actually be 30mph) easy to do with electronic engineer skill set. I’ve been told it would be easier to resolder the joints with solder paste.

Will also give the new owner some recommended wax to bring out the best in the TTs paint work.

This car was a rival to the Porsche Boxster.
Audi lovers slated the design saying it looked like they made a real life concept car. The very next day it became an icon. Winning car of the year 5 times in a row.

This car still turns heads where ever we go and got mass respect on the motorway last year, when a convoy of every TT ever made appeared out of nowhere in perfect synchronicity. The head lights were flash on all models as a nod of respect, the TTs parted, allowing my TT to accelerate through, it was an awesome moment, one of which myself and wife will NEVER FORGET. This car looks modern and has 4D number plates front and back.

Black exterior, black interior. Original TT floor mats. Rare threshold plates and a rare cup holder

MOT EXPIRES WEDNESDAY. Lots of interest. GRAB A BARGAIN BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES.
