SINGER FASHION MATE Model 237, no nonsense, adjustable length straight stitch with reverse to lock ends. PLUS easy zigzag stitch to finish edges, use a narrow zigzag for stretch materials, use satin stitch for creative embroidery, even make buttonholes etc. Ideal for making your own haute couture, alterations or repairs, it's ready! Vintage quality, from around 1959, just ahead of the 1960s boom of great fashions, just imagine the styles made on this machine!

Runs great, professionally serviced and sample on machine shows cotton, denim and leather, all done with standard needle. Complete with updated variable speed foot control, one stitch at a time, full speed ahead or anywhere in between. Fitted light makes life easier. Great and handy extension plate on left end of base for those large awkward jobs, with handy wee covered compartment for holding odds and ends at other side. Nice hard carry/storage cover plus original 237 instructions on using and maintaining machine (more info online).

Attachments include invaluable zipper foot, narrow hemmer, binder, ruffler, seam guide, special purpose foot (for satin stitch embroidery, appliqué, buttonholes etc) and straight stitch feed cover (for darning!) With spare bobbins and needles all included.
