Description
I visited Iran for 3 weeks in August 1999, and part of that trip was spent in Esfahan, where I stayed with a local family.
The Solar Eclipse coincided with my time in the city , and this is a commemorative plate for the event. As you can see, the plate was never varnished and so some of the beautiful colour work has worn at the centre. The cardboard box the plate came in is a little age worn.
Wording on the front of the box says: 'On the Occasion of 11 August 1999 Eclipse. See image.

• Condition: Good. No chips or cracks, although the un-varnished nature has led to small fissures appearing at centre.
