Recently used Chris at Appropriate Design Solutions to help with ideas and plans for a two storey conservatory replacement. Chris came across as an amiable and experienced character and was very keen to work with us and take and provide feedback at all points during the design process. As the name of the company suggests his ethos is on coming up with a design that works for the client but is also in keeping with the with the property that he is working on. This worked well for ourselves and once we had settled on the design Chris was able to help us through the planning process and make introductions to the right people to make the designs a reality.

Highly recommend! The team, particulary Chris Piggott was great! The communication was brillant, through the whole process.Chris turning our ideas in someting we hadn’t even considered. I cannot recommend Chris enough. I don't think it's excessive to say our ambitions for our period extension project were significant in the face of typical planning limitations and in all honestly I'm not sure if we were the easiest clients in compromising to meet our design aims with the planner. Chris is a master at both finding an appropriate compromise that is effective as a design and in making a planning submission that works for everyone. I don't know how he managed it but he did and we got a plan we are more than happy with approved. I looked for some time to find an architect and can't believe our luck. I've no doubt the extension would never have got planning approval if we hadn't met Chris. He is a highly skilled designer and pragmatist and will make your dream project a reality.

This is our first renovation and right from our first meeting Chris put us at ease and seemed genuinely interested in the challenge of reconfiguring our space. Throughout the process he has always brought clarity and expertise, has been open to our thoughts and ideas and been very patient, when needed! He got our planning application accepted without any issues despite a council delay. The service Appropriate design provide is definitely value for money.
