Vintage 1980s Russian direct dial telephone, model TA 68 from 1980's (Vertushka) from Ukraine

New unused stock. All wires present
Comes with original box with label

This comes from a Ukrainian dealer in post Soviet USSR CCCP merchandise who has since had to leave his home due to the conflict. I had several of them shipped over at the start of the conflict to show support.

Bright red in colour with black base,
Plastic casing and black receiver pieces, with no chips or cracks.
Also available in burgundy, cream and blue

Designed to connected a leader subordinates, such as regional party secretaries, high-ranking military officials, or big state-owned factory chiefs. Having a Vertushka reflected the high status of the owner in the hierarchy of governance. The telephone was designed for only receiving calls from the leader.

VEF in itself is a sought after make. (Valsts Elektrotehniskā Fabrika) it is in excellent quality condition 100% fully complete.

Has original label underneath and 'made in USSR' stamped on the plastic

Ideal extension to existing landline, office or home bar.
New and unused so presumably works but untested. Could be converted by a telephone engineer.
These also make ideal film TV or Theatre props
I sold one to a customer last year who converted it to run from his home computer. They have also been bought by buyers for film and TV companies and can be seen in the drama 'Chernobyl'.
