Description
Likely 1960s model caught the eye of BBC Antiques show. Arabic letters make it rare, not seen anything similar apart to this. Collection London NW6. £1000 or best offer accepted. if you've replied before you can reply again but cash buyers only
CONDITION
No major cracks however clear weather damage on patina due to the typewriter being stored in a garden shed. Also some cobwebs and dirt inside which I can't easily clean. Doesn't turn on, not sure if it needs a new motor or ia power lead issue or something. Attached new plug, initially there was some movement but switching it on/off few times it went completely dead. Didn't bother trying again
RARITY
Likely to be a 1960s model from what I've seen online. Must be quite rare as letters are in Arabic (types out stuff in Arabic). Pretty sure keyboard wasn't added later as it appears to be from the exact same time period. Not many would've been made in the factory in Amsterdam and haven't seen anything similar apart from a Hebrew font one.
BBC BIDDING ROOM !!!
Listing caught the eye of BBC Bidding Room (Nigel Havers) but I was too busy to reply back
