Pair of Antique Victorian Children’s Chairs / Footstools (c.1880–1910)
A rare and characterful pair of low wooden chairs, likely used as children’s seats or footstools. Crafted from solid hardwood (possibly oak), these pieces feature beautifully turned spindle backs and gently curved legs — classic elements of Victorian design.
Recently reupholstered with modern black fabric for comfort, while preserving the original wooden structure and patina- previous upholstery pic included . chair still retains its original label from Bridges & Co’s Depository, Folkestone, suggesting historic storage or movement through a reputable 19th-century British furniture.
Condition: Solid and stable with age-related wear consistent with their age. Some surface marks to the wood, adding to their antique character.
