This is a truly exceptional example of a large original 18th-century style Dutch Double-domed Floral Marquetry Bureau Cabinet.
Of a magnificently rich, polished patina, the piece has one of the finest fitted interiors we have encountered!.
There is outstanding craftsmanship throughout the magnificent piece.
The bureau cabinet has a double-domed top with a decorative marquetry inlaid border that rises above a large pair of marquetry inlaid doors, revealing, once opened, a most spectacular fully fitted marquetry inlaid interior, which includes pigeon holes, cupboards, drawers and storage shelves.
The bombe-shaped bureau base is of an equally impressive quality, with a large full-front that displays, once opened, a further spectacular fully fitted interior, all of which is inlaid with conforming marquetry.
The whole is further embellished with stunning quality floral marquetry.
It is raised upon a pair of huge, carved, hairy paw feet.
