Antique 19th Century Pottery, Yellow & Green Majolica Glazed Bowl,
circa 1820's.
We are delighted to offer this antique early 19th century pottery bowl. Hand made in France in a stoneware pottery with a hand applied canary yellow & emerald green majolica glazes. Pottery wheel moulded top rim edge & raised on a pedestal base. This delightful piece comes directly from a recent brocante in the South West of France & is sold in superb as found antique condition. Just minor age related surface glaze fretting in places. Potters clay ring striation are clear to see in the body of the piece. Overall display very nicely indeed & this example would look just fabulous on an entrance console table or would work well as a fruit bowl or salad bowl.
